The Second Annual Hybrid Health Physics Society (HPS) Workshop will be held at Oregon State University in the enchanting city of Corvallis, Oregon, in February 2023. Enjoy biking, hiking, and all great outdoors activities during your visit and learn about emergency preparedness in a radiological operations support specialist (ROSS) course or attend the internal dosimetry track.
We are calling on you to present a Professional Education Program course (PEP) or Continuing Education Lecture (CEL) as part of the HPS continuing education program. While the workshop topics are internal dosimetry and emergency preparedness, continuing education courses may cover any topic in the wide field of radiation safety and protection, medical health physics, or research.
PEP courses include 2 hours of instruction on topics of current interest to a practicing health physicist while CEL lectures include 1 hour of seminar covering a wide variety of professional topics of interest to health physicists. All courses will be delivered in virtual format. PEP courses will be given on Sunday, 5 February 2023. CEL courses would be presented at 6:30 am Pacific Time Monday through Wednesday, 6–8 February.
Abstracts can be submitted using this link.
Please note the deadline for submission is 15 October 2022 but submitting earlier helps ensure your course is accepted. This deadline is needed to allow time for abstracts to be reviewed for continuing education credits by granting organizations.
An accepted course abstract is a commitment to present the course. Instructors of PEP and CEL courses will be remunerated per HPS policy. The Continuing Education Committee looks forward to seeing your course abstract.
